Brookvent was founded in 1984 by two entrepreneurial engineers, who set a benchmark in the industry with an innovative ‘concealed trickle’ window vent. Since then, the ethos within Brookvent has been to invest heavily in R&D and continually produce innovative, Energy Saving Ventilation Systems.
Through embracing this culture our product range has consistently expanded to include highly efficient Heat Recovery Ventilation systems (HRV, MVHR) as well as high performance window vents. Our latest offering is the highly versatile aircycle 1.3 range, which consists of two different models: the 1.3 and 1.3+.
The 1.3 range was designed and is manufactured in Northern Ireland. It is a quiet and efficient MVHR system which is available with wall, floor and ceiling mount options. The system is ideal for small to medium dwellings and features intelligent design to retain the same high efficiency, low specific fan power and airflow performance regardless of mounting type.
The range boasts a streamlined, low-turbulence airflow path design coupled with state-of-the-art EC fan technology. This ensures the aircycle 1.3 range has one of the lowest power consumption (W) per volume of air (l/s) outputs in its class with a specific fan power down to 0.42 W/I/s.
Through incorporating the market leading Recair counterflow, air-to-air heat exchanger, the range succeeds in transferring up to 92% of the heat from the extract air being taken from the wet rooms to that of the fresh air supply stream. This ensures high levels of indoor air quality can be maintained while greatly minimising heat loss.
Other core features of the range include 100% variable fan speed control, an integral humidistat, independent fan speed control, 230v auto-boost integration and 100% filtered, tempering summer bypass. All these features are designed with the end-user in mind, to make the range as intelligent as possible.
To aid acoustic performance custom engineered fan scrolls are used to ensure low internal air turbulence, guaranteeing balanced fan operation. This greatly minimises occurrences of in-duct noise transference.
A high density expanded polypropylene casing further succeeds in limiting any potential break-out noise from the fan operation.
To provide an extra element of usability, the range can come supplied with a potentiometer or a digital controller. This benefits the end-user through giving precise and responsive control methods, with the digital controller setting a new benchmark in engineer and end user control.
