What is SAP?
The Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) is the Department of Energy and Climate Change method for assessing and comparing the energy and environmental performance of dwellings.
SAP works by assessing how much energy a dwelling will consume and how much carbon dioxide (CO2) will be emitted based on standard occupancy conditions. This enables a like for like comparison of dwelling performance.
How do we measure up against SAP?
All of the Brookvent Heat Recovery Ventilation range and Central Extract Ventilation range is SAP approved. Our systems are successful in reducing your CO2 Dwelling Emission Rate (DER). Specifiers/ Low Carbon Consultants/ Architects can gain SAP points for your dwelling by using our products specific performance information instead of the standard default information provided in the SAP register.

Beyond SAP
The SAP Q website also provides information about www.energysavingtrust.org (EST) good practice compliance. This demands even greater energy efficiency from ventilation systems and is based on GPG 268: “Energy efficient ventilation in dwellings”.
