One common topic we are asked about is acoustics. Whether in a window vent or a mechanical system, acoustic properties within ventilation systems are now more important than ever. Below we are going to outline the differences between the two acoustic measurements you may come across when comparing window vents.
Dne W
To put it very simply, Dne W is the current standard metric for acoustics. The Dne W reading is produced through testing the window vent in isolation, therefore giving a more accurate representation of the vents own acoustic performance
Dnt RW
Dnt RW is an older metric, with results produced by testing the window vent in a frame.
